Jims Restaurants Stamford and Peterborough - Jim and Sharon Trevor

About Us

Jim has been cooking since 1981 when he first joined Grosvenor House in Park Lane, London as an apprentice chef. Both from Peterborough, Jim and I acquired The Jackson Stops Inn in Stretton, Rutland in November 2000. First achieving the Michelin Red Guide's Bib Gourmand in January 2004, we have just retained it at Jim's Yard for the seventh consecutive year.

In the summer of 2006, we left The Jackson Stops and Stretton behind, deciding to relocate our business into the nearby market town of Stamford in Lincolnshire. Behind the stone facades, the premises we had found were hidden from view and tucked away behind Ironmonger Street. The buildings were disused and neglected. It had taken almost a year to finish but it had been worth it.

There is no secret to our success. Simply work hard and people may like it. We are committed to maintaining the highest of standards. We acknowledge the number of customers who come back time and time again and feel it is the people that make the business what it is.
